Measuring specific gravity and volume for manual brewing
Equipment for measuring specific gravity and volume is used to monitor the brewing process and measure samples and additions. Here you will find hydrometers, refractometers, iSpindels, measuring cylinders, measuring jugs, pipettes and syringes.
Choose measuring equipment according to measuring range, scale, sample volume and the task it is to be used for. See also our complete selection of measuring equipment for pour-over coffee.

Measure the specific gravity during fermentation
Measurement of specific gravity can be used to compare values before, during and after fermentation. Always use the instrument's scale and instructions, and pay attention to, among other things, the sample temperature and the required sample volume.
Hydrometer, refractometer or iSpindel
A hydrometer, also known as a density meter, is read in a liquid sample. A refractometer uses a smaller sample and is read according to the instrument's scale. An iSpindel is an electronic solution for continuous measurements. The choice depends on the measurement task and the desired workflow.
Measuring cylinders, jugs and sample equipment
Measuring glasses and measuring jugs are used for measuring and handling liquids, whilst pipettes and syringes enable you to draw up or dispense smaller quantities. Choose the size, material and graduations according to the intended use, and follow the product’s instructions for cleaning and use.
