A socket-nipple adaptor has an internal thread at one end and an external thread at the other. It can be used as a transition between different thread sizes or as an extension when both ends are the same size.
Always check the thread standard, size, material, fluid, temperature and working pressure before assembly.
Only use the transition in direct contact with herbs or beer if the material of the product is expressly stated as suitable for this.
