Light candi sugar for brewing beer

Light candi sugar consists mainly of easily fermentable sugar. It can be used to increase the sugar content of the wort and thus the alcohol strength of the beer without adding the same body as an equivalent amount of malt.

Light candi sugar has relatively little effect on the beer's colour and taste, making it suitable when the beer needs to be stronger yet remain light and crisp in body. It is often used in Belgian beer styles, but can also be used in other recipes.

How to use

Add the candis during boiling and ensure that it dissolves completely. The amount depends on the recipe and the desired alcohol strength.
